Optimum Staffing Solutions Inc. is seeking an experienced QC Manager / HACCP Coordinator for one of our clients in the GTA area.

Our client offers a vast array of manufacturing capabilities that include film extrusion, narrow and wide web flexo-printing, laminating and bag manufacturing.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead and manage Quality Control Department
  • Assist project managers with PPAP submission process
  • Maintain Customer Interface: Respond to customer concerns/rejections
  • Initiate and manage containment efforts at customer location and internally, and direct customer corrective actions.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve Quality System; CI acumen
  • Manage Internal and External Audits
  • Evaluate and report Quality of production and operational processes to Company management
  • Oversee and manage implementation of improvement projects process
  • Provide assistance in Quality Control techniques to production department
  • The ability to supervise QC techs; future growth projections
  • Evaluate and Improve Quality system and documentation

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Thorough Knowledge of ASTM Testing
  • Chemical Engineer or Equivalent experience
  • Blown Film and Extrusion Manufacturing Methods.
  • 5-10 years of solid industry and vocational experience
  • Certified Auditor
  • Practical and theoretical knowledge of suitable quality control technics and methods in production process quality control, problem solving, measurements, supply chain quality control, Customer communication and employee management.
