Job Overview
Our client is in the manufacturing of detergents and cleaning products in the GTA, Ontario. They have been in business for over 30 years and they are looking for a licensed Millwright to support their growth. The job details are as below.
This role ensures the department operates efficiently, focusing on both preventive and corrective maintenance.

Your Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance on equipment like pumps, mixers, packaging lines, compressors, and more.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues and perform emergency fixes.
- Handle minor pipe fitting, plumbing, and insulation tasks.
- Read and interpret technical drawings for equipment repairs and rebuilds.
- Weld, fabricate parts, and move heavy equipment.
- Overhaul pumps and manage parts inventory through the CMMS.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Adhere to safety policies and complete required permits and risk assessments.
Qualifications:
- 433A license required.
- Post-secondary education is a plus.
- High School diploma required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance (food/pharmaceutical industry) with hands on experience dealing with high-speed packaging lines.
- Skills in welding, pipe fitting, rigging, and pump repair.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, perform repetitive motions, and work extended hours or shifts as needed.
- Must be fit for walking up and down stairs and throughout the plant
