Primary Responsibilities: Working in the Hydroforma room the associate:
- Ensures proper film and lot code information is logged accurately.
- Performs quality checks as specified.
- Operates machine in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ensures GMP procedures are followed.
- Ensures the department is run to maximize quality and productivity.
- Must focus on customer expectations, prevent problems, and strive for continuous improvement in quality and productivity.
- Maintains good housekeeping and safety procedures.
- Understands and follows all S.O.P.’s.
- Effective start up and shut down of equipment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of HMI controls.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting knowledge.
- Ability to recognize out of spec situations and adjust accordingly.
- Minor Maintenance: Slitter blade replacement, Machine Set up, Pump adjustments.
- Other tasks and duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor
- Complies with all safety company policies as well as provincial and local regulations, with the support and guidance of Corporate SHEQ authorities.
- Safety and MSDS training
- No loose jewelry, metal (i.e., knives), glass at machines
- No loose clothing
- Ensures all equipment is in an acceptably maintained condition.
- Proper PPE to be worn at all times.
- Safety procedures to be followed at all times.
- Area must be kept clean at all times.
Safety Responsibilities:
Skills and Qualifications :
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- 3 years’ experience operating microprocessor-controlled machine, required.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and team building skills with a progressive “can do” attitude.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Works well with others.
- Plant environment can be hot, dusty and noisy.
- When required, must be flexible to work on night shift.
- Shift work: must be available to work on the day/afternoon shift during the training period and periodically work on the night shift for vacation coverage and business demands.
- Standing; Bending; Lifting (up to 50 lbs.); Pushing; Pulling; Crouching; Reaching; Repetitive Motions
- Must be available to work additional hours for cleaning purposes. (Saturdays)
- Weekly rotation of morning (6:00am-2:00pm) and afternoon (2:00pm-10:00pm)
- Normal 8-hour shift (paid over lunch break and coffee breaks)
- OT for permanent employees is paid after 8 hours per day
- Must be open to working OT (up to a max of 12 hours per day)
- Must be open to working at least one day during the weekend (OT on Saturday is paid at 1.5, OT on Sunday is paid at 2.0)
